Fluffy Vegan Rolls

These fluffy bread rolls are an ideal addition to any meal. A quick and easy recipe, suitable for a novice or experienced baker. Enjoy as a side dish, a base for sandwiches and burgers, or a family favorite during the holidays.

5 1/2 cups of flour ( plus 1/2 cup )
1 cup of tepid water
1 cup of flax milk / any variety of plant-based milk ( warm )
4 oz vegan melted butter + extra 1 tbsp of butter )
4 1/2 tsp yeast
3 tsps. agave

Directions

Step 1: Attach the hook attachment to an electric mixer. Add the flour to the mixing bowl, then make a crater using the back of a measuring cup or a spoon.

Step 2: Add the water to the flour crater, then add the agave and yeast. Using a small fork mix the yeast into the solution and allow it to rise for about 15 minutes. The solution should bubble up and look foamy.

Step 3: Turn on the mixer on a low speed, and mix the flour and the yeast together, until everything is completely mixed.

Step 4: Turn off the mixer, then add the warmed milk and butter solution.

Step 5: Mix the dough, if sticky to the touch add additional flour. Once the dough is not sticky anymore and is ready.

Step 6: Take the dough out of the mixing bowl, use the extra tsp of butter, and rub all over the dough. Place back into the bowl and cover with a damp tea towel. Allow to rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.

Step 7: Punch the dough down to release the air. Then divide it into 8 equal parts. Roll each section into a ball by hand. Place on a baking sheet and allow to rise for a second time for about 30-45 minutes.

Step 8: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 9: Place on a cooling rack and enjoy.
