During the holidays almost every dinner table will have some type of cranberry sauce. This sauce is super easy to make and you will not want to buy store bought any more. The taste is superb and you can make it in 15 minutes. Cranberries are loaded with antioxidants and nutrients so they are definitely a berry to add to your kitchen throughout the year.
1 pk organic cranberries
1/2 cup of water
Juice of 1 lemon
Grated zest of 1 lemon
- In a medium size pot add the water, lemon juice and almost all the lemon zest. Leave a few for toppings at the end.
- On a low fire boil the cranberries for about 15 minutes, mixing periodically with a wooden spoon.
- The cranberries will soften and begin to burst. Once the cranberries form a thick sauce remove from the fire and allow to cool.
- Serve with your holiday meal and top with the lemon zest.
