Easy Vegan Pizza Dough

Pizza is definitely a universal food. You can almost find it all corners of the world just in different versions. Making your own pizza dough is fun and very easy. For a light and fluffy crust mix half semolina flour and half spelt or whole wheat flour.

Ingredients

2 cups of organic spelt flour

1 tsp. Organic Cane Sugar

1 cup of warm water

1bsp. Olive Oil

1 pk.yeast

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the flour, form a hole in the center and pour the water into the middle.  Dissolve the yeast and the sugar using a fork, mix lightly.
  2.  Allow the yeast to sit and ferment for about 10 minutes (the mixture should look cloudy and may have bubbles on the top). Using your hand mix the flour and the yeast solution together. Rub the olive oil on the dough and place back in the bowl for about 1 hour to rise.
  3. Flour a smooth surface with about a ¼ cup of flour, roll the dough out with a rolling pin to fit the size of your pizza baking pan. (Using the palm of your hand flatten out the dough and roll from the middle to the edges and continue around the entire dough keeping a circular shape).
  4. Top with your favorite pizza toppings and bake for about 30-45 minutes or until golden brown.
